INSTEON Demonstration I took advantage of the ramp rates available in Insteon scenes to create a virtual day on my model railroad. There are four scenes that play in sequence. When not using the sequences I usually like to operate using the “Evening” scene where the sky is dim and all the building and street lights are on. Hosted on PhotoBucket.

BETA – Group Commander II
I wrote a small program to directly read and set Insteon device states. Device Controller. New version 2.1.22, 23-Dec-06.
Group Controller. Control Scenes that are assigned to your PLC. Version 2.1.18, 15-Oct-06.
Set Port. Instructs the Device Manager to use the USB4 or any serial (COM) port that your PLC is connected to.

Other Insteon Software
InHomeFre The software will allow timers to be loaded into your Insteon PLC. You may also run X10 to Insteon macros on your PC. ON, OFF, Dim To, and Get Level commands are supported for your Insteon devices. An X10 control panel is provided to send and monitor X10 commands. Low level link management is also supported. This is fundamental software for INSTEON enthusiasts.
Light Show Master is a software product that allows you to create animated lighting displays synchronized to music using Insteon While it doesn’t really synchronize with music files LSM can create some very interesting displays.
